Meet Our Technologists And Assistants Team

Betsy graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Indianapolis in December of 2009. Having a deep love for animals, Betsy worked as an animal caretaker and also as a veterinary assistant at two different facilities in the area while attending school.

Michelle graduated in 2001 from Murray State University with a bachelor in science. She went on to gain her certification as a veterinary technician and began her career in the field as an emergency vet tech in Louisville, KY.

Lizzy grew up in central Illinois, spending most of her childhood surrounded by animals of all sizes. She has always had a drive to care for animals. Lizzy graduated at Parkland College with an associates in veterinary technology in 2020.

Ashley is a dedicated vet assistant currently working at Striegel Animal Hospital. With a passion for animal care, she decided to further her education and enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program.

Caitlin joined the team at Striegel Animal Hospital in 2023. Hailing originally from Nashville, Tennessee. Caitlin received her Veterinary Assistant certification from PIMA Medical Institute. Caitlin moved to Carterville in 2023 from Denver, Colorado to be closer to family.

In March 2023, Karley joined the Striegel Animal Hospital team as part of the kennel staff. While balancing her college studies for a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture with her part-time role, Karley's love for animals has been her guiding light.

Summer Antrim joined the team at Striegel Animal Hospital in 2021. Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Summer moved to Carbondale in 2013 to attend Southern Illinois University (SIU).
